Chicken sausages! Julia can tolerate when I eat chicken sausages! This is huge.
These are Italian chicken sausages, and the ingredients couldn't be simpler - chicken, spices, and pork casing. Mmm, casing. The store also carries chicken and apple sausages - we'll be buying those in the future too. Yum!
I also whipped up a new side dish to go along with these bad boys - sliced summer squash and snow peas sauteed in olive oill. Then I forgot about them (baby) and they cooked for a tad longer than intended. The bottom of the skillet was kind of brown and burny. So, a healthy dash of chicken broth and a scrape of the spoon later, and I had a little fond sauce. It was delicious and very easy - I'll be doing that one again.
Rice to round it out, and this was one easy dinner.
1. Put the rice on.
2. Throw the sausages in a 375 oven for 30 minutes.
3. Heat olive oil a skillet, slice up some squash and throw it in. Add in snow peas. Done.
